Trying to benchmark my salary. Would be useful to have real data points.

If you are willing to share: country/region, years of experience, stack (Laravel, Symfony, etc.), salary range or ballpark, remote or on-site.

I will start: Ukraine, 7 years, Laravel, $3500/month gross, remote for EU company.

Poland, 5 years, Laravel + Vue, ~7000 PLN/month gross (about $1700). On-site Warsaw. Junior devs start around 4500 PLN. Seniors with 8+ years can get 12-15k PLN at product companies.

Germany, 9 years, Symfony, 85k EUR/year gross, on-site Munich. Remote roles in Germany tend to pay 5-10% less for the same level.

Remote for US company from Eastern Europe: $60-80k/year is achievable for strong senior devs. Requires good English and being willing to overlap with US timezone for some hours.

The Ukraine rate is realistic for EU remote contracts. I know several devs on $3k-4.5k/month for EU clients. UK clients tend to pay better than German clients for the same work.

Freelance rates are different from salary. Senior PHP freelancer in Western Europe: 600-900 EUR/day. Junior: 300-400. Remote freelance for US clients: $80-120/hour for strong engineers.
