We are a small product company (8 people) building a B2B SaaS. Backend is Laravel 11, PostgreSQL, Redis queues, Vue frontend. Infrastructure on AWS.

What does the current Laravel stack look like in terms of complexity? Monolith, services, or somewhere between? And what is the main technical challenge you are hiring to solve?
Monolith with a clear module structure. Main challenge is scaling the API as the customer base grows: currently at 50 customers, expecting 500 in the next 18 months. The queue infrastructure needs work.
Is PostgreSQL a requirement or do you use any PostgreSQL-specific features? Asking because some candidates are strong on MySQL and transitioning.
We use some PostgreSQL-specific features (JSONB indexes, partial indexes) but nothing so exotic that a strong MySQL developer could not learn it quickly.
What is the testing coverage like and what is the expectation for new features?
About 60% coverage, mostly feature tests hitting the API. We expect developers to write tests for new features. TDD is not a strict requirement but appreciated.
